Publication Ethics

The Sphinx Journal of Pharmaceutical and Medical Sciences is committed to maintaining utmost integrity in its published content. The journal won’t tolerate any misconduct pre- and/or post-publication. These include but are not limited to plagiarism, duplication, fabrication and simultaneous submissions. All scientific dishonesty forms will be treated strictly by paper retraction at any stage.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors:

  • The manuscript should not concurrently be submitted to more than one journal for simultaneous consideration.

  • The submitted work should be original and should not have been published elsewhere in any form or language.

  • The journal may use software to screen for plagiarism. All use of work and/or words of others must be appropriately cited.

  • Results should be presented clearly, honestly, and without fabrication, falsification or inappropriate data manipulation (including image-based manipulation).

  • Proper acknowledgements to other works must be given (this includes material that is closely copied, summarized and/or paraphrased). Funding information needs to be disclosed.

  • Authors have an obligation to report significant errors or inaccuracy in their published articles if discovered. The authors are requested to contact the journal and explain in what sense the error is impacting the article in order for the editorial board to either correct or retract the paper.

  • All authors whose names appear on the submission must have made substantial contributions to the work conception or design or helped in the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data. All authors must approve the final version to be published; and agree to be held accountable for all aspects of the work to ensure accuracy and integrity.

  • Authors are strongly advised to ensure that the order of authors is correct at submission.

  • Studies on human subjects require an ethics committee approval and an informed consent, which should be documented in the paper. Animal studies require a statement on welfare of animals. The corresponding author should be prepared to present documentation of compliance with ethical standards if requested during peer review or after publication.
